On May 14th, Rocky Mountain National Park was officially designated as a "Wilderness Area" which was recently passed into law by the U.S. Congress.
This change in designation of Rocky Mountain National Park provides the park with an extra layer of protection from development and will keep in place all of the current park management policies which already treat RMNP as primarily wilderness.
