The body of an unidentified man was found Friday by an off-duty employee in Rocky Mountain National Park, officials said.
The
man was found about 10:15 a.m. below the False Keyhole on Longs Peak.
It appeared that he had died of injuries from a “significant” fall on
the north side of Longs Peak.
Rangers were notified Thursday night
that Richard Bramley, 55, of Littleton, had not returned from a planned
hike on Longs Peak. Rangers began to search for him Friday, and he has
not been found yet, park officials said.
A park spokeswoman said officials do not know if the body is that of Bramley.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will identify the man and determine the cause of death.
The north ridge of Longs Peak is at far right- the "False Keyhole" is near the far-right edge of the photo taken in early July of 2009.
