Westerly winds rake the summits of Longs and Mt. Meeker on the last day of February, 2011.

Although up to two feet of snow fell throughout Rocky Mountain National Park between 10,000' and 14,000' on February 25th and 26th, most of the new accumulation was removed from the upper elevations of the highest peaks by the fierce westerly winds.
